The first recorded use of Kombucha, a fermented yeast enzyme tea, was during the Chinese Tsin dynasty in 212BC. It was referred to as the Remedy for Immortality or The Divine Tsche. In 414BC (sic) a Dr Kombu is said to have brought it to Japan to treat the ailing Emperor Inkyo. It later spread to India and Russia through travelers and traders and is now known throughout the world.
